When you allow the Carpet Center to take over the installation of your new carpet, all you have to do is sit back and relax until your new floor is ready to go! At the Carpet Center, we’re here to help you find the perfect carpet for any room in the house – or all of them! Once we’ve helped you find the carpet that matches your taste, lifestyle, and budget, we’ll connect you with one of our talented and pre-vetted carpet installation contractors.
What Does The Carpet Installation Process Look Like?
- First, we’ll connect you with one of our preferred contractors and they’ll assess your flooring project and give you a quote. Once you’ve found a quote that you’re happy with, we’ll begin the flooring installation process.
- Secondly, we’ll remove any old flooring from the room and clean it to remove any debris that could cause ripples in your floor and prepare it for your new carpet. We also cover any vents and entryways to the room to contain any installation site dust and debris.
- Then we deliver the carpet and carpet pad to your home and lay them out on the floor to ensure the measurements are correct and there are no defects in the carpet that went unnoticed in previous inspections.
- After the pad and carpet are installed, we will walk through the room together so we can inspect your new carpet together. We’ll give you some maintenance tips and all of your warranty information. Once you’re satisfied, we’ll clean up the installation site and leave everything just as we found it!
If you have any questions during the carpet installation process, we’re always here to answer your questions and concerns. Our goal is to make the carpet installation in Little Rock process as stress-free and efficient as it can be.
FAQ – Carpet Installation Little Rock
Why do I need to get a carpet pad with my carpet?
A carpet pad protects your carpet from the subflooring underneath it, that way no debris or moisture from the subfloor can damage or stain your carpet. It also provides comfort and spring when you walk across it or lie on it which makes for a much more comfortable experience. Some carpets require specific types of padding, so be sure to ask your carpet specialist about which carpet pad is right for you.
What carpet is best for pets or children?
We suggest that families with pets and children go with a stain-resistant carpet. Thanks to modern fiber technology, you can still choose from a wide variety of styles and materials (although we do suggest you think twice before going with shag carpeting if you have kids or pets!).
How do I know I need a new carpet installed?
If your carpet is over ten years old, or if it is visibly shedding, fraying, unraveling, or otherwise damaged, it may be time for a new carpet. Mold and mildew can collect in older carpets when moisture has been introduced through spills or an aging pad.
